Upcoming Community Events

Our upcoming community events highlight the work Autistic Pride Chattanooga is doing throughout the year to build accessible, autistic‑led spaces across the region, with gatherings, workshops, meetups, and celebrations for autistic and neurodivergent people, families, allies, and community partners; this page is updated as new opportunities are added, and the most reliable way to stay informed about upcoming events is by following us on social media.

Autistic Pride Chattanooga Gooogle Calendar

Our public Google Calendar includes all of our upcoming gatherings, workshops, virtual hangouts, Meet the Board sessions, and community events. Monthly Members' Newsletter

At Autistic Pride Chattanooga, membership is not gatekept. Membership is self-identified — if you’re here and interested in being part of our community, you’re already a member.

For many neurodiverse people, joining a new community can feel uncomfortable without context — not knowing what has been happening, what the community is like, or what people are currently talking about. Our Monthly Members' Newsletter helps provide that context.

Each issue shares updates about what has been happening in the Autistic Pride Chattanooga community, along with upcoming events, virtual hangouts, and other ways to get involved. Reading it can help you get a sense of the rhythm of the community and what’s going on before attending something for the first time.

Our Members Newsletter is published on Substack, where you can subscribe or follow along so you never miss a beat.

We host regular monthly virtual hangouts designed as low-pressure spaces for autistic and neurodivergent people to connect, unwind, and be in community. These gatherings are conversational, flexible, and shaped by the people who show up, with no agenda and no expectation to speak — you’re welcome to join with your camera on or off, participate actively, or simply listen.

Hosted by our NAP Liaison, Deborah, these hangouts take place online on the second Thursday of each month in our Jitsi room. Jitsi requires no account or login and can be accessed easily through a web browser or the Jitsi app.

These gatherings offer a consistent point of connection each month and a welcoming space to spend time with others in community.

Meet the Board

Our Meet the Board gatherings take place every other month and follow a small, low‑pressure town‑hall style format where attendees can meet board members, ask questions, and get a clear sense of how Autistic Pride Chattanooga operates. These sessions are conversational and transparent, offering space to learn more about the Neurodiverse Advisory Panel and our coalition partnerships while sharing ideas that help shape our work.

Our Next Meet the Board, will be in May. It will be very different from our typical Meet the Board Meetings. We will be having a Afterhours Vintage Clothing Shopping Event that will serve as a Fundraiser for Autistic Pride Day. More details will come as we have them.

Autistic Pride Day

We are hosting Chattanooga’s first Autistic Pride Day on June 20th, 2026 — a community celebration created and led by autistic people to highlight identity, culture, connection, and collective imagination. This event brings together autistic community members, families, allies, and partners for a day shaped by our Neurodiverse Advisory Panel, with activities, panels, and sensory‑considerate spaces designed to honor autistic ways of being. We hope you’ll join us and be part of this first celebration.
